NPOD Visiting Researcher Program

Purpose: 
The program will pay for travel to a host laboratory. The program is important for NPOD’s success because it enables NPOD faculty, postdoctoral associates, and advanced Ph.D. students to acquire new skills, bring the skills to NPOD, and expand their professional networks to host laboratories. 
Ideally, invite their host back to UNL or UNMC to give a seminar.

Eligibility: 
The program is open to all NPOD faculty (which also includes postdoctoral associates and advanced Ph.D. students from their lab). 

Budget:
$1,500; up to two slots annually

How to Apply: 

Please submit the following documentations to Verona Skomski (vskomski@unl.edu):

  • Application letter 
    Please include in the letter: 
    - skill to be acquired in the host lab (two sentences)
    - a description of the potential contribution to NPOD (how to intend to disseminate the knowledge gained)
    - duration of stay
  • A support letter from the hosting laboratory
  • Budget
